Overview
SWOT analysis is a strategic planning method used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses/Limitations, Opportunities, and Threats involved in a project, a process, or a business venture. It involves specifying the objective of the project, process, or business venture in identifying the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieving that objective. This TÜV SÜD America webinar will provide insight into how in today's world of internal, as well as third-party registration auditing, the principles of SWOT can be easily applied by both auditors as well as by audited personnel. Auditors can use SWOT in 'reporting and communication of audit findings and results', where as audited organization (auditee) can use SWOT for developing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) and as inputs in the long-term strategy development.
TÜV SÜD America fully understands the importance of SWOT and its contribution to achieve business strategic objectives and sustained success. In order to achieve this objective, TÜV SÜD America provides its customer with a SWOT analysis that is based on the audit findings and results. About Our Subject-Matter Experts:
Gurdeep S. Mahal, PE, is an ISO 9001 Program Manager and certified lead auditor for TÜV SÜD America. He is responsible for managing ISO 9001-related auditing activities, business development, and ensuring competency levels for involved third-party auditors. Gurdeep is a Registered Professional Engineer, ANAB Lead Auditor, ASQ-Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and senior member of ASQ. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is the chairman of the Recertification Committee of American Society of Quality (ASQ), Granite State section 104. Gurdeep has over 35 years work experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, and Quality Management fields, including nineteen (19) years at TÜV SÜD America. Gurdeep has conducted many public educational webinars and seminars on ISO 9001, ISO 9004 and related subjects. He has been a distinguished speaker at various institutions including American Society of Quality (ASQ) and Society of Industrial Engineers. Gurdeep has written and contributed professional articles in various technical and professional publications such as Quality System Update and Appliance Manufacturer magazine.
