Overview:
ISO 9004:2009 Managing for the sustained success of an organization - A quality management approach, is the latest revision (third edition) in the ISO 9000 series standards. ISO 9004:2009 was officially released on November 1, 2009 and replaces ISO 9004:2000. ISO 9004:2009 has been significantly revised to focus on sustained success of an organization through a quality management approach. It provides organizations with a model for "sustained success" in today's complex, demanding, and ever-changing environment. The underlying thrust of new standard is to enable organizations to achieve their long-term objectives pertaining to economics, quality, customer satisfaction, and other interested parties. The new edition of ISO 9004 gives guidance on how an organization can and should use a systematic approach (i.e. ISO 9001 based QMS) to achieve sustained business success. TÜV SÜD America webinar shall provide a general understanding of the ISO 9004:2009 concepts of sustained success using quality management approach. You will learn how the existing Quality Management System such as ISO 9001, TL 9000, AS 9100, ISO 13485, etc. could be used and integrated to achieve and maintain long term business success in meeting organization, customer and other interested parties needs and expectations.

About Our Subject Matter Expert: Gurdeep S. Mahal, PE, is an ISO 9001 Program Manager and certified lead auditor for TÜV SÜD America. He is responsible for managing ISO 9001-related auditing activities, business development, and ensuring competency levels for involved third party auditors. Gurdeep is a Registered Professional Engineer, ANAB Lead Auditor, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and senior member of ASQ. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is the chairman of the Recertification Committee of American Society of Quality (ASQ), Granite State section 104. Gurdeep has over 34 years work experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, and Quality Management fields, including sixteen 16 years at TÜV SÜD America.
